Application
α-acetyl-γ-butyrolactone, referred to as ABL, has a molecular formula of C6H8O3 and a molecular weight of 128.13. It is a colorless and transparent liquid with an ester odor. It is soluble in organic solvents and has a solubility of 20% in water. relatively stable. It is an important organic chemical raw material and an important intermediate for the synthesis of a variety of drugs, such as vitamin B1, chlorophyll, heartache and other drugs. It is also used to synthesize flavors and fragrances, fungicides, and antipsychotic drugs.

If the respirator is the sole means of protection, use a full-face supplied air respirator. Use respirators and components tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH (US) or CEN (EU).
