Properties: Colorless to slight yellow liquid with ammonia-like-weak odor. Soluble in water and ethanol, ether and benzene and other organic solvents, but insoluble in saturated alkane, can be chlorinated paraffin from aqueous solution extracted form complex, easy to moisture absorption.
Application: It has significant effect for agricultural film’s resistance to low temperature and aging proof, it is a kind of multi-functional in aprotic high boiling point solvents, used in polymer synthesis, such as benzene sulfur ether, having special effects in the synthesis of aromatic polyamide, it is also the cocatalyst for propylene polymerization of ontology, if added in the ethylene propylene rubber, can improve the projectile and oil resistance. HMPT is a kind of high boiling point strong polar organic solvent, miscibility with water and inorganic salt can even dissolve month, so it is called the "Almighty solvent". It can dissolve PVC, PPS, polyvinylidene chloride, polyacrylonitrile, polyester, polyether, polyvinyl alcohol, polyamide, polyurethane, nitrocellulose, etc. It can be used as ethylene propylene rubber additives, improve elasticity and oil resistance.
